Biography:
Erdem Sahin received his Ph.D. degree from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2013.
From 2006 to 2013, he worked as a research and teaching assistant in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Bilkent University. From 2006 to 2008, he participated in the 3DTV Network of Excellence project which was coordinated by the Bilkent University.
During his doctoral studies, he mainly focused on two problems, namely the relation between the geometric optics and scalar wave optics and calculation of 3D scalar diffraction fields from 2D fields given on curved surfaces (objects).
Contribution to Prolight-IAPP:
Lightfield sensing by using plenoptic and/or holografic setting (WP1).
